Homeschool Swap: April-May 2011

No, you haven't been sent back in time.  I just received a box from my Homeschool Swap partner from April-May and wanted to post it and show off my goodies!  Poor Cherees had a string of rough luck there for a bit (including her husband being hospitalized for a while!) and I told her not to worry about sending me a box. But even after several months had passed, she insisted anyway and I received it yesterday!  Here we go:

The box contained a super cute flower bowl, some BoogieWipes (for the kids, hahahah!), magnets, notepads, lip balm, shower gel, nail supplies, hand towels and a sweet card!  Thank you so much, Cherees!  I am glad things have settled down for you a bit, and I appreciate you taking the time to send me this gift!

The next Homeschool Swap is in the works right now!  Super excited to do it again.  So fun!

But it's a Monday...

I stressed all day yesterday, worrying that I wasn't going to meet my Usborne sales goal by 10am this morning.  I prayed for weeks about this.  I REALLY wanted it.  Mostly because I just really wanted to prove that I could do this, and having a specific goal placed in front of me helped me measure my success.  But also because it would help my sponsor to move forward towards her supervisor status, and she helped me out, so I felt like I really owed it to her!  Yesterday afternoon it was looking like it wasn't going to happen... then one order after another came in, and by last nite, I had everything I needed to meet the goal!  God is so good... He knows how to put me in my place.  For sure.  I entered the orders this morning and felt like doing a happy dance!  But, I can't... 'cause I would cry from the pain.

While I was in the shower this morning, shampooing my hair, I tilted my head ever so slightly and a stabbing pain went through my neck!  It wasn't a sudden move or anything, just a little tilt... and it was excruciating!  And now, every time I move my head just a bit or even lean my body a little here or there, my neck hurts so bad I have to keep from crying out.  This same thing happened to me two years ago, and nearly made me pass out from the sudden pain.  I went to CareNow and the Chiropractor and eventually the muscles relaxed, but man... what's the deal?  I was trying to figure out what I did about it the last time, and Michael found these two Xanga posts from that incident (see why I love blogging?  You can totally research your own life!  Lol!)...

I guess I'll be going to the Chiropractor again and see if he can fix me up, 'cause I can't function like this.  Callen wants to climb all over me and it just hurts so much.  And just trying to point things out for Preston in his book makes me cringe and whimper.  Yuck.  Doing some more hardcore praying, this time for healing!

Sept 12th - "Warning: Busy week approaching!" Somehow I missed this sign earlier and it just smacked me upside the head! Dannnng.

Sept 14th - Preston re: Def Leppard on #AGT: "He's not necessarily my favorite, but I like him. I'd vote for him." LOL!

Sept 15th - Love that I can be gone all day, get home at 4 & still be done w/ #homeschool & dinner well before 7pm. Enjoying this weather outside!

Sept 19th - Had the car today & ran about a million errands. Feeling accomplished. Oops, I can't forget to go pick up my husband....right now!!!

Sept 25th - Nothing like a 3am throw-up call. Callen's 1st ralphing experience marked in the baby book at 18 mths. Preston's was 4 mths I think.

Sept 25th - Good grief, Callen can unlock my phone and make phone calls, send texts and work the calculator like a pro. #KidsAreTooSmart

Sept 25th - Nothing like going to the park, crashing the stroller & breaking into your own house for a fun evening adventure!

Sept 26th - I gots mad booger snatchin' skillz. It's like wrestling a crocodile trying to clean out a toddlers nose!
