That Can Be My Next Tweet...

Ok, so I was introduced to this hilarious site that takes your past tweets and then 'guesses' what you're gonna tweet next, and some of them are just too stinkin' funny.  Here are a few examples of mine:

• Just had cable for a monkey! So, now you wake up for DS and having pancakes made him out what your way.
• Gahhhh, free pancakes made this day thus far: Beef stew in my Gingerbread Latte stock.
• Boys are Present. I think his statement, saying Well, dang. I get the form of amazing life lessons.
• Today's Godly Character Trait: respectful. Oh boy, thats a movie Star Trek Nemisis.
• For the Women's Conference at Dinosaur World Monster! I sent your Breast that continues for some sense. 
• See, that Callen saw a monkey! So, we have officially had energy left to you guys!
• Oprah is a cow on twitter, but it couldn't last, but Mommy sure did!
• Yay for 1 crown & choco chips! = Poor thing.
• Did ya score anything fancier. Heh. My baby kittens! Now the kid is out of snow, so... 
• Gahhhh, free trial of next door. Must have been going up in my oven! Just wanted a zip bang boom!

That last one is my favorite so far.  I have a feeling I could do this all day if I was allowed.  I dunno why it's so funny.  Maybe it's because they're all my OWN words, just rearranged in a completely CRAZY order that sometimes makes sense enough to be funny and sometimes actually sounds like my brain and the way it's always jumping from one zany thought to the next.  Hmm...

Photo Prompt Challenge, #18: Afraid

Something You Are Afraid Of.

Ewwwww!

I know, it's silly to be afraid of something like that.  But I'm both completely terrified and oddly curious about frogs.  They totally give me the creeps, and yet they're fascinating at the same time.  The picture above is one I took when we were out at our friend's ranch last October.  The boys wanted to swim, and this guy was swimming around in the pool - it seemed like he couldn't get out (he was swimming all around the edges but couldn't get up the wall/stairs).  I scooped him out with the skimmer net.  And when I dumped him out, he just stayed there all nite.  I thought I must have killed him or something.  But... he was fine, moved on eventually.  And later, there were half a dozen more swimming in the pool.  I guess he didn't really need rescuing from me!  They must do that alll the time, duh.

Prestonism on Science and Jesus...

This morning I was coming out of my bedroom after taking a shower when I heard a crash in the living room where the boys were supposed to be watching TV.

Me: "Preston, what are you doing?"

Preston: "Investigating 'nertia."

He was watching Sid, The Science Kid and they were talking about inertia.  He was crashing his hotwheels into things.

I had some leftover frozen sugar cookies and made them this evening.  They were Christmas shapes.

Me: "Preston, do you want a snowman, a Christmas tree or a star?"

Preston: "A star.  Because I love Jesus.  ...   And He's the star of my life."

Me: :::swoon:::  "That was an awesome thing to say!  I'm glad you feel that way!"

Preston: "Yeah, I can't believe I said that.  It just POPPED OUT!"

Family Movie Night: Truth Be Told

During the month of March we had a free trial of cable, and I really liked it because there was always something on that I could watch with the boys.  Now that our free trial is up, we rarely turn the TV on unless it's morning and it's tuned to PBS.  There just isn't anything on TV in the evenings that is family-friendly enough to watch with a 5-year-old who soaks up everything he hears and sees!  Except maybe Wipe Out!  And, boy, do we love Wipe Out!  So, I was excited when I heard there was a new Family Night Movie coming on soon. We enjoyed watching Secrets of the Mountain together a while back, and I reviewed the last one, A Change of Plans.  I watched the trailer for Truth Be Told, but honestly I was a little disappointed.  It didn't look like it was really going to be a good one for the kids.  Two people lying about being married to get a job... I didn't think my rowdy 5-year-old would find it interesting enough to sit through.  I was given the opportunity to preview the film in exchange for a review again so I decided that my husband and I would watch it without the kids first. 

Candace Cameron Bure and David James Elliott are the lead characters, Annie and Mark, who knew each other in college and meet up again at a fundraiser. They find themselves in a strange situation in which they have to pretend to be married to each other for the weekend to each gain something they really want...the perfect job and funding for a kid's sports program.  The "couple" spends the weekend trying to tell the truth and failing, but also find themselves falling for each other.  But will they lose out on what they want (and each other!) when they finally tell the truth?  You have to watch for yourself!  By the way, there's also a cameo performance by a finalist from Season 8 of American Idol.  Watch for that!

As I said, I was a bit skeptical about this one after just watching the trailer.  But I am glad to say that the trailer really doesn't do the movie justice!  It isn't completely predictable as you might assume a story-line like this to be.  And there are lots of laughs to be had throughout. Candace Cameron Bure is absolutely adorable as always!  We really enjoyed this movie, and I know that my 'rowdy 5-year-old' will enjoy it as well.  Truth Be Told airs on Saturday, April 16th on FOX at 8/7c.
